Beeing a hobbyist I have a small budget, otherwise I see that some use a commercial iSCSI initiator from ATTO (. My question hence is: Is there a limitation in target (LUN) size when using globalSAN from Mac? I will try to install a newer version of globalSAN (ver 4.0.0.204), but never the less I want to make clear if it is at all possible to use LUN sizes above 2 TB. In other forum threads I read that a 2 TB limit exists but only from some Windows systems (?). Now I could create new folders, and also delete them, but some time later (10 minutes or so) the same error occurred. This was solved by ejecting the disk (only Force Eject worked), disconnecting and then connect again. When I tried to create a new folder on the target I got "An unexpected error has occurred (error code -50)". Files were created but after a while recordings stopped (freezed). I created a 3TB target, and at first it seemed to work all right. Cibus is pioneering precision gene editing with its powerful and versatile Rapid Trait Development System, RTDSTM, to transform the food and agriculture. Recently I bought a TS-439PROII with 4*2 TB disks (WD2001FASS, included in HCL), and the plan is to create a larger iSCSI target this time so I can store all my TV recordings in ONE place. As initiator I use globalSAN iSCSI initiator (3.3.0.43) which is still working without any problems at all.

I have two iSCSI targets (each about 50 GB in size) and I connect to them from Mac OS X (10.6.4). I have successfully been using a TS-439 with 4*1TB disk in RAID 5 for a year now.
